Hi, my name is Lucy and I'm a 41-year-old mum of two boys.
I have always struggled with my weight. Like so many people, I have tried all the diets and different workouts to try and shift the extra weight and most importantly, keep it off. I have had ups and downs on this journey but I am finally in a good place.
I started weightlifting a few years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. I started making journals to track my progress with weightlifting and to stay accountable. Initially they were just for me but then I thought they could help other people so I started selling them on Amazon!
Somewhere along this process, I was diagnosed with lipoedema. Although I do plan to have surgery to manage my condition, I knew that I couldn’t do that for a while. In order to manage my lipoedema conservatively and to stop progression, I needed to do lots of different things like go for daily walks, use the vibration plate, weight train, follow a low-carb diet, do dry brushing and so much more. I needed a specific journal to help me manage all these things that I had to do daily. That's why I created the 'Lippy Log', a journal that helps me track all the things I need to do to keep on top of my lipoedema, including diet, exercise, self-care, and more.
Through my journey, I've learned that staying organised, motivated and accountable is the key to managing my weight and my lipoedema. Having daily habits and improving by 1% each day is the best way to achieve your goals. I really hope that my journals help others to do the same.
